Job Description
Lead the Future of Veterinary Care in Brighton
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step and make a real impact? At Brighton Vets for Pets, we're offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to play a key role in shaping the future of our practice.
This is more than just a senior clinical position, it's a chance to influence, develop, and lead within a supportive environment that truly values its people. If you're a confident, motivated vet with at least 5 years' experience and a desire to grow your leadership skills while delivering outstanding care, this could be the perfect next chapter in your career.
About the Role
We're looking for someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives on collaboration, and wants to help a practice reach its full potential. You'll have the opportunity to bring your ideas to the table, help shape clinical standards, and support the ongoing development of both the team and the service we provide to our clients.
This role would particularly suit a vet with a special interest in surgery, imaging, exotics, or perhaps a true feline enthusiast but above all, we're keen to support whatever clinical passions motivate you. Professional development is actively encouraged, and we're always happy to invest in our people.
About the Practice & Team
Brighton Vets for Pets is a little different, in the best possible way. The practice has a non-standard layout that often surprises and excites visiting vets, offering a refreshing alternative to the traditional setup.
Facilities include:
* Two fully equipped theatres, ideal for a varied and interesting surgical caseload
* Dedicated prep areas with kit and equipment above the usual levels, supporting efficient, high-quality clinical work
* A spacious glass operating theatre filled with natural light
* A truly next-level, cat-friendly consultation room, complete with a climbing wall and designed with feline wellbeing at its heart
* A comprehensive range of diagnostic and imaging equipment
You'll be supported by a fantastic, close-knit team of 2 RVNs, 1 SVN, and 2 CCAs, all of whom work seamlessly together. Our nursing team is highly skilled and genuinely valued, while our front-of-house colleagues ensure the practice runs smoothly, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care.
We're incredibly proud of the supportive, positive culture we've built and are looking for someone who will enjoy being part of a team that genuinely cares about each other and the work we do.
Work-Life Balance & Flexibility
This role is available full-time or part-time, including job share, and there are no out-of-hours requirements. We're very open to discussing flexible working patterns that fit around your lifestyle, because we believe great veterinary care starts with a happy, well-supported team.
What We Offer
In return for your skills, leadership, and passion, we offer a genuinely attractive package, including:
1. Salary up to £85,000 DOE
2. £5,000 relocation or welcome bonus
3. Generous CPD allowance with full support for certificates and career progression
4. Paid RCVS and other professional memberships
5. Contributory pension scheme
6. 20 days holiday + 8
