Teacher and Maths Lead in Training

This role is designed for a talented teacher who is ready to take the next step in their career. You'll join us as a dedicated SEMH Teacher, and over a structured period, we'll invest in your development to become our future Maths Lead.
The Opportunity
This innovative role combines the responsibilities of an excellent SEMH Teacher, who delivers a broad and balanced curriculum, with a clear trajectory towards leadership in Maths. You'll receive comprehensive support, including an internal traineeship focused on Maths leadership and the opportunity to complete additional relevant training for this subject.
Springwell Learning Community is the umbrella name for Springwell Special Academy and Springwell Alternative Academy. Springwell Special Academy provides cross-phase education for Barnsley children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties SEMH. What We Are Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Proven experience as an excellent Inclusive Teacher, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.
* A deep understanding of the needs of students with SEMH and a commitment to inclusive education.
* A passion for Maths and a desire to inspire a love of the subject in young people.
* Demonstrable leadership potential and a proactive approach to professional development.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

The Journey to Maths Leader: TLR ResponsibilitiesFrom your 2nd year, as you transition into the Maths Leader role, your responsibilities will expand to include the TLR job description attached. The TLR 2b payment for the Maths Lead role will become effective from your second year of post, recognising your growth and increased responsibilities as you transition into leadership.
