The Role
As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial information, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring strong financial control across housing services and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
* Business partnering with housing and operational managers
* Budget setting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
* Monitoring rental income, service charges, and void performance
* Supporting development appraisal and scheme viability analysis
* Assisting with grant accounting and compliance reporting
* Balance sheet reconciliations and oversight of accruals and prepayments
* Cash flow forecasting and treasury support
* Supporting year-end processes and external audit requirements
* Identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and performance improvements
* Producing KPI and performance reports for senior management
About You
* Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience
* Strong experience in management accounting or finance analysis
* Previous experience within the housing, social housing, or property sector is highly desirable
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders
* Strong Excel and financial systems skills
* Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
