Pinewood.AI is seeking experienced automotive professionals to join our Training and Implementation Team, specialising in Accounts and Vehicle modules. This role is central to delivering high-quality implementations of the Pinewood.AI platform for automotive retailers across the UK and internationally.
If you have worked as a dealership accountant, assistant accountant, or in another accounts-focused role, and you understand how vehicles and finance come together in a dealership setting, this is an opportunity to combine your industry expertise with technology to drive change.
This is also an exciting career move if you are looking to step out of a dealership role and into a position where you can use your knowledge to help multiple retailers improve their processes. Instead of running one dealership’s accounts or vehicle stock, you will be working with a wide variety of businesses, helping them streamline operations and get the best from our platform.
We are looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, is confident in training and consultancy, and has a problem-solving mindset with a passion for making dealership operations more efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement the Pinewood.AI platform in new and existing dealerships, focusing on accounts and vehicle modules.
* Lead high-quality implementation projects, ensuring smooth transitions from legacy systems through to 'Go Live'.
* Work closely with dealership stakeholders to understand financial and vehicle-related requirements, configuring parameters to align with business processes.
* Deliver clear, engaging, and tailored training sessions for finance and vehicle administration teams.
* Provide ongoing consultancy, both onsite and remotely, to support system adoption and optimisation.
* Ensure accuracy and compliance within core dealership finance processes such as balance sheets, VAT returns, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Guide customers on vehicle-related processes including stock management, invoicing, and registration.
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve implementation practices, sharing insights to enhance customer experience.
* Continuously develop your system knowledge across financial and vehicle modules, functionality, and integrations.
* Act as a trusted advisor, helping customers gain the maximum value from our Automotive Intelligence Platform.
Requirements
* Strong background in automotive finance or accounting, for example, as a dealership accountant, assistant accountant, or similar role.
* Hands-on experience using a Dealer Management System (ideally Pinewood).
* Solid understanding of financial processes such as balance sheets, budgeting, VAT returns, reconciliations, and management reporting.
* Awareness of dealership vehicle processes, including stock management, invoicing, and administration.
* Ideally, a recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification such as AAT Level 3 or 4.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident in delivering training and building customer relationships.
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
* Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, logical, and methodical approach.
* A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to travel.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience:
* Direct experience with Pinewood DMS or another automotive management or accounting platform.
* Understanding of how finance and vehicle operations interact within dealership processes.
* Experience in system optimisation, process improvement, or change management projects.
