Why this job matters
This role supports the Wholesale Sales and Management teams by providing clear insight into performance against key business metrics, helping to deliver in-year sales targets and build a strong pipeline for the medium-term plan.
Working as a key contact for Sales and Account Managers, you’ll deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly performance analysis to drive trading rhythm and volumes. The role is highly analytical and insight-led, with a focus on monitoring campaigns, projects and initiatives.
You’ll work closely with the SLT, Finance, Propositions and Sales Enablement to provide end-to-end reporting, hold sales teams accountable for performance, and identify risks, impacts and actions needed to achieve revenue and gross profit targets across Wholesale.
What you’ll be doing
• Deliver clear, easy-to-understand trading insight across front book and back book performance, including product-level analysis against targets, trends and gaps to maximise commercial performance.
• Own end-to-end trading performance, including forecasting against the Medium-Term Plan (MTP) and assessing impact on the P&L through data-led insight on volumes, churn, net additions and other key metrics.
• Link portfolio performance to sales trading activity and overall P&L outcomes, providing actionable commercial insight.
• Monitor portfolio performance and key metrics, identifying risks and threats, and driving recommendations to address short-term trading pressures and medium-term challenges.
• Support and deliver key trading initiatives and projects, including book-to-bill and IP transformation.
• Provide portfolio input into finance planning cycles.
• Own the product trading rhythm, including leading quarterly product reviews with key stakeholders, focusing on performance drivers and initiatives to support trading outcomes.
The skills you’ll need
• Strong storytelling with data, able to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable commercial insight.
• Excellent data interpretation and manipulation skills, with advanced Excel experience (dashboards, tables, multiple data sets); Salesforce (B2B) experience desirable.
• Solid understanding of product portfolios, wholesale markets and key trading levers that impact performance.
• Confident communicator and collaborator, able to simplify complex messages, challenge constructively and influence stakeholders up to Director level.
• Agile and proactive, with experience working cross-functionally to identify trends, manage risks and drive actions that improve trading performance.
• Naturally inquisitive, with a strong eye for trends, risks and opportunities within data.
