We have an exciting opportunity within our busy Endoscopy unit at Nevill Hall Hospital. There is a medium-term plan for cross-site cover and on-call duties.
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, motivated team player eager for a new challenge. The role involves gaining skills across the entire suite, including pre-assessment of patients, working in endoscopy rooms, and managing patient recovery and discharge.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Main duties of the job
1. Carry out all relevant forms of nursing care.
2. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards providing quality service.
3. Provide high-standard nursing care, assist with endoscopic and radiological procedures, and liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operation of lists.
4. Implement a systematic approach to patient care.
5. Take responsibility for personal development and education, including in-service training.
6. Maintain and care for endoscopes following BSG guidelines and develop professional relationships with multidisciplinary team members.
7. Be competent in caring for and monitoring sedated patients.
8. Participate in monitoring and evaluating standards of care in the Endoscopy Department.
9. Provide specialised endoscopy nursing care to a high standard.
10. Assist endoscopists during procedures involving exposure to body fluids and tissues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; applications from both Welsh and English speakers are welcome.
