Job Description
About the Role
Join BallyCara’s Village Team as an Emergency Response Officer and make a genuine difference every day. You’ll be the first responder when residents need assistance, providing reassurance, care, and support to help them live safely and confidently at home.
The Details
* This is a Casual role with varying shifts across 7 days (early and late shifts)
* Based at our vibrant Village of Friends in Scarborough
* Supportive team culture, meaningful work, and opportunities for growth
What You’ll Do
* Respond promptly to emergency call activations from residents
* Provide first aid and basic medical assistance as required
* Support residents in maintaining independence and safety
* Deliver compassionate, hands-on assistance
* Maintain accurate incident and handover documentation
* Work collaboratively with the Emergency Response Team
* Ensure emergency equipment is maintained and ready for use
* Promote safety, wellbeing, and person-centred care
Desired Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring
* Availability to work on a casual basis, including early and late shifts across a 7-day roster
* Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or Individual Support (essential)
* Experience or knowledge in emergency response or first aid
* Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions under pressure
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
* Current First Aid & CPR, Police Check, and Driver’s Licence
