The position of a Principal Transport Planner:
As a Principal Transport Planner, key responsibilities include site appraisals, transport assessments, client relationship management, pursuing business development, supporting negotiations, and attending Highway Authority meetings. You should be capable of managing projects as well as mentoring the junior members of the team.
Essential Requirements for the Principal Transport Planner:
10. Proven experience in a Transport Planning consultancy
11. Strong knowledge of transport planning policy, principles, and standards.
12. Relevant postgraduate experience and ideally pursuing Chartered status
13. Familiarity with local and national transport policy and guidance
14. Experience building, running, and understanding the outputs of Junctions 10 and LinSig software
