The role:
1. Maintenance of all plant facilities as directed.
2. Complete planned maintenance (PM) activities for all facilities.
3. Responsible for up keep of maintenance records.
4. Assist facilities supervisor in planning of annual building maintenance and service contracts as required.
5. Assist in planned projects including large-scale repair and new facility construction projects, assisting contractors as necessary.
6. Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures.
7. Participate with team working, information sharing, 5S and Continuous Improvement Programmes.
8. Ensure compliance with all Company policies and systems, including the quality, health, safety and environmental policies and management systems.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Criteria:
* NVQ (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering / works
* Previous mechanical or electrical maintenance experience gained within the manufacturing sector
* Knowledge and experience of the implementation of good health, safety and environmental practice
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written
* Good analytical and problem solving skills
* Able to work on own initiative or within a team environment
* Computer literate
Desirable Criteria:
* Electrical qualification
* HNC(Or equivalent)in relevant subject
* Candidates would require most of their experience in an manufacturing sector
* Experience of working to environmental and quality standards
