Overview of the Role An Account Executive (AE) provides vital support for the wider team, carrying out the day-to-day execution and administration tasks for our portfolio of industry-leading clients. With the support of the wider PR team, the AE completes support tasks as directed to ensure clients are happy and accounts are well structured and organised. They have excellent communication skills, are highly organised, detail-oriented and able to multitask. In addition to providing the crucial support to keep client accounts on track, an AE is heavily involved in brand liaisons, press release writing and feature placements, media relationship building and driving client coverage across a broad range of B2B media. To be successful in this role, an AE is an enthusiastic and driven individual who is equally at home picking up the phone to a journalist, completing feature research, updating a client report or drafting press releases. They are the kind of person who is always on the hunt for the latest trends and who cant wait to share their passions with the wider team. A dynamic person, they communicate effectively through written, audio and face-to-face channels. The sky is the limit, as they will be able to take on as many diverse challenges as they are capable of and for which they express a desire to get involved. Typically, an AE will be in the role for one to two years (dependent on experience) and must have an interest in PR and a notable passion for the industry, especially within retail, F&B and property sectors. Role and responsibilities: Client Relationships Establish strong relationships with existing and new clients across all accounts, proactively nurturing these relationships through day-to-day contact, client meetings, coverage generation and general support
Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of client work, ensuring it is all geared towards helping to achieve their desired outcomes
Collate, analyse and evaluate media coverage; circulating to clients and brands
Attend and promote client events to the media
Actively participate in the preparation and management of meetings, including compiling reports, agendas and meeting notes as necessary
Handle clients accounts (where applicable)
Media relationships
Responsible for developing ourmedia lists
Build and nurture relationships with key media contacts across various touchpoints and platforms (including podcasts and national media as well as traditional trade media)
Identify openings for media opportunities
Sell-in news stories and features to the media daily
Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, broadcasts, podcasts, socials, for coverage, opportunities and articles of interest for clients
Research, write and pitch press releases, new stories, feature ideas, client commentary and case studies by phone, email or in person to B2B media across various platforms and touch points.
Be well read across B2B sector media and have a strong knowledge of media outlet opportunities
Story generation undertake media and desk research in support of client campaigns, contributing to team features and brainstorming meetings to generate coverage for clients
Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients
Team support Work as part of an account team to implement the PR activities that feed into the bigger client strategy
Handle the administration for a portfolio of client accounts, including tracking press coverage, maintaining media contact databases (and ourbulletin database), preparing feature calendars, updating press releases and coverage archives, as well as client image libraries
Lead on client reporting
Internal Contribute to and inspire a laugh and learn culture
Champion ourvalues and brand at all times
Support ourbrand, coordinating weekly bulletins, driving oursocial media and updating the website
Where required, provide support for agency growth and development of new business
Where required, be involved in new business pitches
