Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their well-being. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support individuals with mobility and daily routines in accordance with care plans
* Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote mental well-being
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions
* Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
* Follow health and safety procedures to create a safe environment for all
* Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
* Support the organisation of appointments and transportation if required, including driving when necessary
Requirements
* Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
* Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation duties
* Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow specified procedures accurately
* Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and colleagues
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation
* Compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills and patience when dealing with diverse individuals
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
