Location:
Seeking a number of permanent Senior Engineers, due to recent internal promotions, new sites starting across a number of locations nationwide, so open to consider candidates residing UK-wide, as several vacancies available.
(For candidates that are flexible to travel / stop away from home, they also offer an attractive inconvenience allowance, in addition to accommodation paid and dinner allowance)
Role & Responsibilities:
As Senior Engineer your roles & responsibilities will include:
Management
Effective communicator with staff and supply chain.
Motivator of others and shows examples of developing others.
Understands the control of information (Drawings / specs / Variations).
Takes ownership of site issues and challenges where necessary.
Compliance with company processes and procedures.
Commercial Awareness
Actively controls material ordering, reconciliation and Q47/48 process.
Ensures robust as built information is available to QS etc.
Understands supply chain responsibilities / attendances.
Challenges materials wastage with staff and supply chain.
Contributes to CVR / Forecast process.
Takes ownership of Earthworks volumes and strategy.
Planning / Programming
Takes ownership of Maps and sequencing.
Challenges supply chain progress and efficiency.
Contributes to wider site team on programme related matters.
Ensures Engineering team is working efficiently and inline with maps etc.
Provides as built information to Planner.
Leadership
Development of staff and teams ( PDRS / 1 to 1's / Mentoring ).
Challenges poor performance.
Leads by example.
Stakeholder Relationship
Effective communicator.
Engages with wider team members respectfully (Architect / Engineer etc).
Respectfully challenges upwards on VE Matters.
Technical
Understands variety of technics for setting out and selects appropriately.
Understands Effects of Different ground conditions.
Understands and Practices Temporary Works.
Contributes to Value Engineering and Buildability.
Understands Material Procurement process and works wholly to it.
Understands and manages quality of workmanship.
Maintains appropriate records and as built information.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Senior Site Engineer vacancy you will ideally meet the following criteria:
-Previous employment a Senior Engineer or an experience Site Engineer ready for promotion.
-Previous Industrial and distribution centre buildings project experience would be ideal, but not essential, civils / highways projects also considered particularly transferable.
-Technical understanding of Setting Out.
-Eligible to work in the UK (this employer do not have a sponsorship licence).
-UK Driving Licence.
