We are an independent hospital dedicated to providing rehabilitation services to both informal and detained patients under the Mental Health Act. We are on the lookout for a committed, experienced, and enthusiastic Senior Nurse to join our dynamic team. With a robust multidisciplinary team in place, including nurses, support staff, OT aides, and an art therapist, you will be part of a collaborative environment focused on recovery.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a key player in our multidisciplinary team, you will:
* Liaise regularly with the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and lead on evidence-based frameworks and treatments, ensuring adherence to NICE guidance.
* Report to the Clinical Lead, key-working individuals and developing tailored care packages and risk management plans with a focus on discharge planning.
* Embed a ‘recovery-focused’ pathway into daily routines, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.
* Lead shifts, supervise, guide, and mentor staff, while engaging in clinical audits and participating in MDT reviews.
* Deputize in the Clinical Lead’s absence and participate in an ‘On-Call’ system for out-of-hours support.
Are You the Ideal Candidate?
If you have:
* A strong knowledge and skill set in working with patients facing severe and enduring mental health challenges, including dual-diagnosis.
* Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
* Good IT knowledge and skills.
* A passion for acting as a professional role model, with a willingness to engage in clinical supervision and support staff development.
You will be required to work 37 hours per week, participating in shift work and night duty on a rotational basis.
