We are now looking for a Trainee Pump Service Engineer to join our team in the Kent / sussex area. As a Trainee Basement Sump and Pump Service Engineer you will assist an Engineer with the following:- Installing, servicing, cleaning and checking basement pumping stations within properties (domestic and commercial) Working with ground water, surface water and some sewage Undertaking a planned maintenance programme usually on a 6 month or annual basis Installing replacement pumps as required including associated pipework Checking electrical connections are safe Electrical qualifications (18th Edition, Testing and Inspection) a benefit but not essntial. As a Trainee Basement Sump and Pump Service Engineer you will be:- A team player Self-starter, with ability to work alone once fully trained High attention to detail and always able to deliver high quality Methodical and organised Good communicator and customer facing (you will be the face of Basement Sump and Pump) Enthusiastic and motivated Field based and be willing to travel throughout the region which may involve some overnight stays. Full training will be provided; this role would particularly suit someone who has previous experience in any of the following areas: working with tools, or has a maintenance or workshop background, plumbing, working with electrics below ground waterproofing. A van will be supplied, and hours of work are 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours work for which extra payment will be made.
