Revenues & Benefits Quality Assurance Officer – 13697
Salary: £28.54 per hour (Inside IR35)
Location: Esher, A minimum of 1 day per week in the office.
Contracting Authority: Government Client
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Clearance: DBS
The postholder must have and maintain a good knowledge of the relevant legislation and court cases in relation to the Benefits and Local Taxation function of a Local Authority. Good communication and negotiation skills to deal with difficult situations in a tactful and assertive manner. Good IT skills and previous experience using Revenues and Benefits software (preferable Academy) would be advantageous.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Local Taxation or Housing Benefit
* Working in a Quality Assurance or equivalent environment.
Essential
* Access to a suitable vehicle.
* Education to GCSE, O Level or equivalent.
* Familiarity with a computerised system and updating records in live environment.
* Familiarity of working with legislative/ administrative or other rules/regulations and the need to interpret these in individual circumstances.
* Working with a wide range of complex data.
* The ability to adapt the presentation of complex data in a format appropriate to the audience.
* Ability to deal diplomatically, build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
* Ability to use own initiative to identify and source information.
* The ability to effectively manage one’s own work ensuring a high standard of professional competence and accuracy and that targets are met.
* Organised and able to maintain clear, accurate records of information sources.
* Use of Microsoft Office to an intermediate standard, in particular Excel.
