Teaching Assistant - level 2

* Location: Lancaster
* Job Type: Temporary (until at least January 2026)
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday (5 mornings and 3 afternoons)

Join a supportive team at a school in rural Lancaster as a Teaching Assistant. This role involves working 1-to-1 with a pupil, focusing on delivering targeted interventions without behavioural challenges. This position is ideal for someone passionate about providing educational support and making a significant impact on individual student outcomes.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Work 1-to-1 with a pupil, providing tailored support and interventions.
* Deliver targeted Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) and dyslexia interventions.
* Collaborate closely with external agencies to deliver Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Monitor and report on the pupil's progress in academic and developmental areas.
* Maintain close communication with the pupil's family to ensure a cohesive approach to education and support.
* Provide social and emotional support to enhance the pupil's learning experience and personal development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in a similar role, preferably with SALT and dyslexia intervention knowledge.
* Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Commitment to the educational development and well-being of children.
* Ability to liaise effectively with external agencies, school staff, and families.
