Finance Director, Banking & Lending - £160,000 - £180,000 + car allowance
We are recruiting for a new role, for a very well established Financial Services business who have experienced major growth in the past two years and as a result, we are looking to hire some more experience in to the Finance team.
Reporting in to the Group CFO, this is a Group Head of Finance / FD role, which takes responsibility for a large team of accountants and is a genuine succession plan to the current CFO.
We need someone commercially minded, who enjoys a growing environment and enjoys working closely with all commercial aspects of the business. A natural leader, who enjoys managing abd developing a team and someone who can work independently.
Key aspects of the role:
* Support the CFO by providing insight / analysis on key P&L and Balance Sheet drivers and ensuring the businesses maintains appropriate pricing / returns / capital levels
* Challenge business performance to ensure operating plan targets are achieved, and forward-looking indicators of financial performance are continually reinforced and highlighted
* Manage the financial control, reporting and FP&A teams and lead all internal and external financial reporting
* Ensure financial and statutory accounts and all regulatory reporting is produced accurately to a high standard and within agreed timescales
* Ensure that financial processes and systems of internal control are proportionate, robust, and meet guidelines laid down by external regulations and standards
* Ownership of the financial systems functionality for the Leasing business including the identification of requirements and design for future systems enhancements
* Continuously improves the Finance operating model for the Leasing business in terms of reporting cycles, process maturity and transparency
* Ensure that all governance and compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by external bodies are carried out to the standards required
* Maintain strong relationships with External and Internal Audit
* Supports the Treasury team on funding and cash management related initiatives
Experience Needed:
* ACA/ACCA/CA/CIMA Qualified with over 15 years PQE
* Must have experience within Financial Services, banking would be ideal
* Must have strong business / commercial experience
* Comfortable supporting and influencing the C Suite
* Energy and drive to make changes and help grow the balance-sheet
* Ideas and curiosity in abundance!!
This is a genuine 'number-two' role with autonomy and a clear path to CFO in a few years time. Its a busy role, so will need someone who will enjoy that.
Two days a week in the office with occasional UK travel.
