We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join Proudmans, a specialist family law firm dedicated to private law children proceedings and financial remedy cases. We are looking for a committed individual who is interested in progressing into a trainee solicitor role in due course.
The Role
This position is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for family law, a commitment to supporting often vulnerable clients, and an ambition to grow within a dynamic, values-driven practice. You will work directly with counsel and solicitors across a broad range of complex and sensitive cases.
Essential Requirements
• At least 2 years’ experience as a family law paralegal, specifically in private law children matters working directly with private clients.
• Proficiency in legal case management systems.
• High level experience drafting client care letters, invoices, letters to clients, court applications, briefing counsel, finding Court listings for cases on Court Serve, and preparing court bundles.
• Confidence liaising directly with clients, the Court, counsel and assisting with caseload management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Efficient working style with strong time-management skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent client care.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
• A genuine commitment to trauma-informed practice.
• Experience time recording.
• Drafting client care letters.
• Drafting witness statements and/or scott schedules.
• Taking detailed attendance notes.
Desirable Experience
• Experience using the CLIO case management system.
• Experience in financial remedy proceedings.
