Manager- Change Risk BRIGHTON, EAST SUSSEX, United Kingdom(Hybrid) Job Description The B35 Manager - ICS Change Risk is a first-line risk and governance role, accountable for coordinating and enabling consistent, proportionate change risk management across ICS Legal Entity impacting change. In this role, you will ensure that change is appropriately triaged, routed through the correct governance pathway, and supported with clear, decision-ready risk insight, enabling safe and timely delivery across multiple international markets. You will operate at the centre of the ICS Change Risk model, working across regions to bring clarity, consistency, and discipline to change governance, while balancing pace of delivery with strong control outcomes. Responsibilities Own the end-to-end intake and triage of ICS Legal Entity impacting change, ensuring accurate scoping and clear routing through defined change risk pathways? Apply proportionate change risk pathways, aligned to materiality, complexity, and risk profile, ensuring consistent governance across ICS regions and AEMP Policies.? Act as a central coordination point across multiple international markets, ensuring alignment, visibility, and consistency of approach? Prepare and manage governance forum materials (including ICF), ensuring outputs are clear, concise, and focused on decision-making? Support governance outcomes through clear documentation of decisions, conditions, and risk acceptance positions? Provide first-line risk guidance and constructive challenge to change owners, ensuring risk is clearly articulated and understood? Coordinate inputs from Risk SMEs and stakeholders to ensure joined-up, coherent risk perspectives across regions? Maintain high standards of governance discipline, documentation, and audit-ready outputs ? Track and monitor change across the portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of status, risks, and escalations? Identify and drive opportunities for process simplification, standardisation, and continuous improvement Qualifications Experience in financial services and/or Legal Entity governance environments? Familiarity with change governance models and enterprise risk frameworks? Experience working across international or multi-region environments? Strong judgement with ability to apply risk-based, proportionate decision-making Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the UK is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
