Contract Manager (Temporary)

Location: Derby, DE24 8AN

Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent benefits

Schedule: 2 month rolling Fixed Term Contract

As a Contract Account Manager within our Rail Technical Services team, you'll manage customer accounts and digital service subscriptions that support the delivery of essential engineering services helping to keep rail networks running safely and reliably. Your work will ensure customers receive consistent, high-quality service and value, supporting colleagues, partners, and the communities who rely on efficient transport every day.

You'll act as a key point of contact for assigned contracts, building strong relationships across our organisation and with our customers, coordinating with internal teams to ensure services are delivered effectively, and maintaining strong oversight of contract performance and customer satisfaction..

You'll Be Entrusted To

What you'll do as a Temporary Contract Manager

Manage key customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for contractual and service-related matters.
Oversee digital subscriptions and ensure services are delivered in line with agreed contractual requirements.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting retention, satisfaction, and account growth.
Monitor contract performance, service levels, and reporting to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
Coordinate with internal technical and operational teams to ensure customer needs are met (without direct line management responsibility).
Maintain accurate account records, documentation, and commercial oversight of assigned contracts.

You'll be a great fit for this role if you have:

Experience managing customer accounts, contracts, or subscriptions within a technical, engineering, or service-based environment.
Strong commercial awareness and confidence in dealing directly with clients and stakeholders.
Good understanding of digital services or subscription-based offerings.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders.
