We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administrator to join the team at HMP Lancaster Farms, a Category C male prison located on the outskirts of Lancaster. HMP Lancaster Farms offers a fast‑paced, unique rewarding environment to learn and develop. Our admin team are at the heart of the healthcare team, supporting all healthcare pathways (primary care, mental health and substance misuse), and delivering excellent customer service to patients.

Salary
This position is full time, working 37.5 hours per week and you’ll receive an annual salary of £25,821 - £28,575 per annum - depending on experience.
Hours
For this full time role, you will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8am - 4pm.

Main duties of the job
As our new Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
* Dealing with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone, face to face and via email, delivering a high level service at all times
* Working face to face with patients – you will be working on the reception hatch, booking patients in for appointments, answering queries etc.
* Provide a high quality admin service to the healthcare team
* Coordinate clinics and chase referrals (internal and external)
* Arrange and chase hospital appointments, prisoner release and transfers, and arrange appointments for follow‑on care
* Scan paperwork, process applications, and collect paperwork from the wings

Qualifications and experience
Our new Administrator will have:
* Experience within an administrative role/setting – any experience in a healthcare environment would be an advantage (GP surgery, hospital etc.)
* Excellent customer service skills
* Have a proactive and flexible approach to work – we are a busy, close‑knit team where we all work together!
* Confident in using data, maintaining databases and producing reports
