Your Role as a Functional Assessor
In this vital position, you will assess individuals to understand how their disabilities or conditions impact their work life. Using your clinical expertise, you’ll:
* Conduct thorough assessments by listening to each person’s medical history.
* Perform physical examinations and create concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP).
* Engage with individuals both face-to-face and via telephone/video, ensuring a sensitive and compassionate approach.
You’ll have the time you need to make precise assessments, all while being part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team. Your commitment to best practice standards will shine through in every interaction.
About You
We’re looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
* NMC Level 1 Registered Adult Nurse with at least 12 months of broad-based clinical experience within the past 5 years.
* Experience working with adults in various clinical settings, such as Surgical, Medical, A&E, Community, and Practice Nursing.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient IT skills and experience with various software.
* Self-aware, focused on professional development, and committed to maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
* Motivated to deliver quality customer service with empathy and respect.
* Able to work independently while being a reliable team member.
* Eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
