A well-known manufacturer of precision parts based in Blackburn are recruiting for a CNC Machinist on a permanent day shift, operating and programming CNC lathes for a range of machined tools. The role is offering £37,000 - £42,000 p / a with an annual bonus of up to 10% and overtime available, with additional training & development opportunities offered on a regular basis.
What youll do
* Program and operate advanced CNC machines to manufacture high-precision components essential for mould tooling and production support across various departments.
* Set up CNC machines by selecting appropriate tooling, configuring fixtures, and adjusting parameters to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
* Develop, refine, and optimise lathe programs using CAM software to achieve precise machining outcomes for complex turned parts.
* Interpret detailed engineering drawings and CAD models to guarantee the accurate production of components that meet stringent quality standards.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC lathe equipment and associated tooling, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely at all times.
