Field Service Engineer
Location: Peterborough
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week (08:00–16:30)
Role Overview
Customer-facing Field Service Engineer responsible for diagnostics, servicing, and repair of construction, agricultural, industrial, and recycling plant equipment within your territory. The role focuses on delivering high-quality workmanship, achieving first-time fixes, and providing world-class customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, and repair plant machinery to manufacturer standards
*
Build strong customer relationships and respond promptly to service needs
*
Complete job reports using laptop/PDA systems
*
Promote aftermarket products and services
*
Carry out emergency breakdown callouts
*
Maintain health & safety standards
*
Attend training and continuously develop technical skills
Requirements
*
NVQ Level 2 (minimum) in Plant Engineering/Servicing & Maintenance
*
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions (manual & power shift), axles, and CAN-bus electrical systems
*
Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills
*
Ability to work independently in a remote field-based role
*
Professional customer-facing approach
*
Clean UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
*
Must live within 30 minutes of assigned depot
