They are a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm based in Cardiff, covering civil, structural, geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering.
The Structural Engineer role:
In a nutshell, you’ll be working on a wide range of projects as a Structural Engineer. The role, based in Cardiff, will see you:
1. Embarking on structural design for steel frame, concrete frame, portal frame and traditional domestic structures
2. Using software to assist with calculations and structural design such as MasterSeries, CSC Fastrak and Strand7
3. Preparing, detailing and reviewing drawings of the systems designed
4. Preparing design quotes and writing reports
5. Supervising, as well as checking and signing off work
6. Coordinating with engineers in other various disciplines such as Geotechnical and Civil engineering
7. Attending meetings to build relationships and gain valuable information from clients, discussing their needs, requirements and any design issues
Ideally, they are looking for the Structural Engineer to have a Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in Civil or Structural engineering (or equivalent), and be Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
