Your Role: Cluster Facilities Manager
As the Cluster Facilities Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our two retirement villages: Sunningdale Park in Ascot and Coopers Hill in Englefield Green. Your leadership will help maintain the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our owners.
You will lead a dedicated grounds and maintenance team, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards. Your commitment to quality will directly impact the quality of life for our owners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise a team of maintenance and grounds staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
* Collaborate with various departments to coordinate maintenance activities and support operational goals.
* Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
* Manage maintenance budgets and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
* Liaise with contractors and vendors to oversee work performed on-site.
* Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and address owner concerns professionally.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory.
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve operations.
* Prepare business presentations and share action plans with team members and owners.
* Be available for emergency calls to assist colleagues as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in senior living or hospitality.
* Multi-site experience is a plus.
* Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related fields.
* Health and safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely).
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop your team.
* Experience in budget management and cost control.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of building regulations and health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Proficiency in maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Flexibility to respond to emergencies and work occasional evenings or weekends.
* Technical knowledge and experience in general trades; pool plant operator knowledge is a plus.
