Freelance PR Account Manager (Maternity Cover)
Specialist interiors agency In The White Room is looking for a freelance PR & Influencer Account Manager maternity cover starting from March 2026. This is an office‑based role in Tunbridge Wells. Number of days per week are negotiable.
What’s the job?
Maternity cover on the PR & Influencer team, starting in March 2026. We have over 15 interiors clients that we manage the PR, blog writing, influencer campaigns and digital outreach for.
Responsibilities will include:
* Day‑to‑day management of PR campaigns for a range of clients under the support of the Directors
* Securing print and digital PR coverage for clients on an ongoing basis
* Writing monthly press releases & blogs
* Developing and working on influencer campaigns
* Carrying out blog outreach campaigns
* Supporting the Senior PR team on PR campaigns and administration
* Social media content support and copywriting checking
* Establishing and developing valuable and productive relationships with journalists and bloggers
* Developing individual online voices and brand identities for specialist home and interiors clients
* Reporting and providing analytics for PR & Influencer campaigns
It’s vital that you understand the importance of digital PR and online platforms. Writing will form a key part of the job, and it’s important that you understand how to adapt different writing styles to suit each client and platform. Influencer campaigns are an important part of what we do, and you will be tasked with finding different collaborators on a regular basis, managing the content and reporting on the insights.
It’ll be important to understand each client, their market and their objectives, and adapt for each account – one minute you could be writing for a children’s brand and another an architectural or interior design practice. It’s vast and varied, but that’s what makes it exciting, and why we love it!
What do we need from you?
* A minimum of three years’ experience working in the PR (or similar) sector, preferably in interiors or a relatable/similar sector
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of the media and different platforms/outlets
* An understanding of digital media platforms
* Strong attention to detail
* Highly organised with the ability to manage a number of clients and campaigns at once
* Relish in finding creative solutions for clients
* Ability to work well within a team but also alone
* Confident liaising directly with clients
* Confident working in a fast‑paced environment
