Teaching Personnel is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our network and support students across schools in the Gateshead area.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in helping students reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering 1:1 and small-group support to pupils of varying abilities
* Applying your subject knowledge to boost learning and understanding in the classroom
* Creating a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
* Collaborating closely with teachers to tailor support to individual student needs
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into a PGCE, teacher training route, or a career in educational psychology or SEN support.
What We’re Looking For
* A degree in a relevant subject area with strong academic knowledge
* Previous experience working with young people (advantageous but not essential)
* Confident communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners
* A proactive, reliable, and professional approach to supporting classroom practice
