School/educational environment experience is essential Facilities Supervisor Location: Slough Hours: 40 hours per week- rotating shifts of 7-3.30pmand 9-5.30pm - Full-time, 52 weeks Are you experienced in working within a school environment and ready to take the lead in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and high-performing site? We are looking for a proactive and skilled Facilities Supervisor to play a vital role in supporting a vibrant primary school. Every day, your work will directly support the success and wellbeing of hundreds of children. As Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation, safety, and maintenance of the school's buildings and grounds across two campuses. You'll ensure the site remains secure, compliant, and ready to support outstanding education. Your responsibilities will include: Building Compliance & Maintenance Ensuring the school meets all statutory health & safety and fire safety requirements Coordinating inspections, servicing, and maintenance schedules Managing repairs and maintaining accurate compliance records Keeping the site clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors Security Management Managing door access systems, alarms, and CCTV Responding to incidents and maintaining safeguarding-aligned security protocols Site & IT Operations Managing the Site and IT fault reporting system Supervising the Site Assistant and IT Technician Liaising with contractors and suppliers when required Health & Safety Leadership Supporting the Facilities Manager with risk assessments, compliance, and safety procedures Promoting a strong culture of safety across both campuses Technology & Infrastructure Supporting network cabling, Wi-Fi infrastructure, AV systems, and IT projects Managing photocopier contracts and IT assets Acting as a key responder during IT or power outages School Operations Supporting school events and ensuring facilities are prepared Maintaining school vehicles including minibuses Collaborating with staff to ensure the site supports educational priorities The person: We welcome applications from candidates with experience working in a school or educational Knowledge of building compliance and health & safety regulations Experience managing security systems and safeguarding-sensitive environments Strong problem-solving and organisational skills Confidence supervising staff and coordinating contractors Good communication skills and the ability to work across a large team A full driving licence is essential Our client offers: Free onsite parking 26 days annual leave bank holidays Pension Access to online GP services Opportunities to develop your skills in site leadership, health & safety, and IT infrastructure The chance to work within a supportive school leadership team Ongoing professional development and training A role where your expertise truly makes a difference to children's learning environment Safeguarding Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.
