GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach to join a supportive and inclusive school setting in the Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to encourage healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and positive behaviour through sport and physical activity.
As a Sports Coach, you will work with pupils across key stages, delivering engaging physical activities and supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in sports coaching, PE support, youth work, or behaviour support, who are keen to make a positive impact on pupils’ physical, social, and emotional development.
As a Sports Coach, you will:
* Deliver engaging sports sessions and physical activities aligned with the school curriculum.
* Support pupils’ physical development, teamwork, and confidence.
* Assist teachers with PE lessons, enrichment activities, and extracurricular clubs.
* Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and participation through sport.
* Support pupils who may require additional encouragement or behavioural guidance.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
What you will require for Sports Coach:
* Previous experience working with children or young people in a sports or coaching role.
* A positive, energetic, and motivating approach.
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff and pupils.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
