Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated nurses to join our team as The National Brain Appeal funded Clinical Nurse Specialist. The role focuses on the coordination and delivery of care and support to Glioblastoma patients who are part of the Windows Studies in Glioblastoma. Starting with the coordination of referrals, the remit of this role covers the whole pathway for patients enrolled to this study.
We are keen to hear from enthusiastic cancer nurses who are keen to improve the management of patients with Glioblastoma and have a keen interest in managing patient pathways, data collection, and delivering the highest standard to experience to patients and their loved ones.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be an experienced cancer nurse with proven clinical skills and knowledge in the field of cancer. We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills who has the ability to impart complex information to patients, relatives and carers.
You will be the patient’s key worker will manage their own clinical caseload, providing highly specialist nursing input and continuity of care to patients at each stage of the Study. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the physical and psychological challenges faced by this group of patients.
