Software Architect – AWS / Java / Python
6‑Month Contract | UK | Security Clearance Eligible
Day Rate: £400/Day InsideIR35 | Remote Working
We are seeking an experienced Software Architect with deep expertise across AWS, Java, and Python to lead the design and delivery of large‑scale, enterprise-grade solutions. This role requires someone who can confidently bridge the gap between senior stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication, strategic alignment, and successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end architectural design for complex systems built on AWS.
* Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
* Provide architectural guidance, design reviews, and governance across multiple workstreams.
* Ensure solutions meet security, performance, and compliance standards.
* Act as a trusted technical advisor, offering commercially minded insights that support business outcomes.
* Create documentation, architectural roadmaps, and technical specifications.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Software Architect within enterprise environments.
* Strong hands-on background in AWS architecture, cloud-native services, and distributed systems.
* Expertise in Java and Python, with the ability to guide engineering teams.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
* Commercially savvy, with strong understanding of cost optimisation and delivering value.
* Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) – must have lived in the UK for the required period.
