Electronics Engineer
In late January, we announced that Bridgefield Capital signed an agreement to acquire Philips’ Emergency Care business, including leading brands and products like HeartStart AEDs, Intrepid and DFM100 monitor defibrillators, Tempus monitor and Tempus ALS systems, and Corsium and ECI informatics solutions. The transaction is expected to close at the end of 2025.
Building on our 40+ year legacy of growth and innovation in emergency medical technology, the Emergency Care business will continue pursuing our mission of saving lives, lowering healthcare costs, and advancing resuscitation science while serving the public access AED, EMS, military, and hospital markets.
This role offers an opportunity to be part of the new 'NewCo' formation, grow professionally and personally, and make a significant impact in the acute care space, supporting consumers, patients, and healthcare workers with life-saving solutions.
Your role:

* Assisting during external system testing, investigating issues, resolving them, and reporting results.
* Following the V-Model for system development: writing design specifications, selecting components, creating schematics, evaluating designs, and conducting prototype testing.
* Collaborating with suppliers to manufacture prototypes and pre-production units, progressing to full subcontractor production.
* This role offers hybrid working from our new offices in Farnborough, Hampshire, with flexibility to support work-life balance.
* Competitive salary, yearly performance bonus, and other benefits—discuss these with your recruiter.
You’re right for this role if:
* You have experience in Electrical Engineering, including sustaining and new product development.
* You have worked in the Medical Device industry or a similar regulated environment (e.g., Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Defence).
* You are familiar with PCB design, manufacturing, testing, digital and analogue circuits, and electrical safety.
* You hold a degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering.
