Job Description
The role is based in a small, growing Norwich office of about 10 staff. It is a design‑led practice with a focus on sustainability and architecturally driven work.
You will work on a variety of projects, ranging from small to large scale new build and refurbishment, many of which are award‑winning.
Our team includes a high proportion of Chartered Engineers and we provide excellent training for chartership. The studio environment encourages idea sharing and offers regular CPD sessions.
Responsibilities
* Lead the structural design of new build and refurbishment projects.
* Develop and produce high quality design drawings and calculations.
* Work closely with architects and consultants to deliver architecturally driven outcomes.
* Support junior engineers and contribute to the chartership development of the practice.
* Participate in CPD meetings, internal knowledge sharing and external training sessions.
Qualifications
* Several years of buildings design experience.
* Strong academic background in civil or structural engineering.
* For those without chartership, strong motivation to achieve chartership.
* Proficiency in design software and the ability to work to architectural brief.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
