Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus and special offerings.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
* Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen operations.
* Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and reporting any issues promptly.
* Foster a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration and communication among kitchen staff.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
* Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
