Job Description
We have a new role available within our Global Finance Operations Team for a Recharge Reporting & Analysis Manager
This role sits within the Expense Reporting & Analysis Team, based in Glasgow and would suit an ambitious and analytically minded individual with a degree in a relevant Finance or Accounting discipline. We will equally consider strong analytical candidates who are Newly Qualified or Part Qualified with current or previous experience gained in an analysis-based finance role.
This particular role is responsible for managing the team responsible for central allocation and billing of costs to the underlying legal entities and underwriting businesses within agreed timelines, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Reporting and analysis of the overall recharge base is also a key part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide ad-hoc Recharge Reporting & analysis and strategic support to Senior Stakeholders
Oversee preparation of monthly and quarterly MI analysis, ensuring variances vs planned recharge are fully understood, explained and documented.
Oversee expense bookings for centrally recharged costs
Oversee preparation and recording of various intercompany expense transactions including incoming and outgoing invoices.
Manage the review of quarterly Recharge owned Balance Sheet flux analysis & centrally submitted consolidation schedules.
Work closely with Balance Sheet leadership to ensure all processes are followed correctly and reviews done with the required depth with any issues logged and resolved quickly or escalated.
Responsible for people management including resourcing, training and development, performance management, employee engagement and absence management.
Work with the Head of Expense Reporting & Analysis to ensure any strategic plans from management are carried out.
Consistently look for opportunities within the team to improve processes.
Collaborate within the department on any automaton technology that becomes available to drive process efficiencies.
The role-holder will possess the knowledge to act on ad-hoc queries or direct and delegate to the appropriate individual.
During BAU processes, act as the escalation point to resolve any issues that arrive.
Qualifications
Qualified/part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
Finance Manager or experience in an Accounting role where reporting and analysis is key.
Direct or indirect people management experience.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, and experience of manipulating and summarising large data sets.
Fluent written and spoken English, with strong verbal and written communication skills .
