Arla Foods Stourton Dairy are looking for proficient Production Operative to join our team on a full time and permanent basis where you will play an integral part in the production of our fantastic dairy products.
About the job
* As a Production Operative you will be working a full time, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (2 days and 2 nights) and will have responsibility for the daily operation of container filling and labelling machinery, producing a range of our top quality dairy products.
* The successful candidate will report and correct any safety issues whilst maintaining proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings.
* You will perform quality inspections on materials and finished product which will include, codes, seals and weights and you will be responsible for proper and accurate product/package/code changes.
* You will perform all filling/labelling operator CIP duties and surface foaming with mechanical cleaning for all other areas in accordance with specified cleaning schedules.
* Finally, you will perform simple preventative maintenance, i.e. clean, inspect, lubricate and tighten and monitor equipment and process performance and correct /raise issues before they become a problem.
What you'll need to be successful in the role
* Good communicator with ability to understand instructions
* Previous experience in an FMCG or related company
* Food hygiene certificate
* NVQ level 2 or equivalent is desirable to demonstrate basic level of vocational learning ability.
* Experience of SAP process order management and automated data collection systems i.e. SCADA, OEE, SPC
