Barker Munro Recruitment is supporting a well established organisation seeking an Insurance & Claims Specialist to join their Finance team. This role suits someone from a claims, legal or loss adjusting background who can deliver a high quality, customer focused insurance service. You’ll help ensure insurance procedures meet legal obligations and industry best practice, while driving improvements in risk management and claims governance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead improvements in insurance risk management and challenge liability decisions where appropriate.
* Maintain an effective insurance framework, ensuring claims are managed efficiently for the best outcomes.
* Support the delivery of insurance training and guidance across the business.
* Manage the internal claims process, liaising with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders.
* Promote collaborative claims handling and develop action plans to mitigate future risks.
* Maintain claims records, analyse trends and produce reports for the Leadership Team.
* Lead quarterly updates and annual insurance renewals, aiming for cost efficiencies.
* Ensure appropriate insurance cover is in place to meet all legal and statutory requirements.
* Keep up to date with market trends to optimise the organisation’s insurance approach.
* Support customer satisfaction surveys and wider project work.
