Driver Hire Edinburgh City is recruiting experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers for a well-established client, with opportunities available at both Edinburgh East and West depots.
This is an ongoing role with a genuine temp-to-perm pathway—ideal for drivers looking for long-term stability, consistent hours, and competitive pay.

Temp-to-Perm
Rotating weekly schedule:
1. Week 1: Monday to Friday – 11:00am starts
2. Week 2: Sunday (8:00am start), then Monday to Thursday/Friday – 11:00am starts

Ongoing until late June 2026
Rotating weekly schedule:
3. Week 1: Monday to Friday – 8:00am starts
4. Week 2: Monday to Saturday – 8:00am starts

Extra shifts are frequently available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, including holiday cover.
⏱ Start times typically 7:00am or 11:00am, depending on operational requirements

Monday – Friday:
5. ÂŁ14.50 per hour (PAYE)
6. ÂŁ16.47 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Overtime (after 8 hours):
7. ÂŁ22.05 per hour (PAYE)
8. ÂŁ24.71 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Saturday:
9. ÂŁ22.05 per hour (PAYE)
10. ÂŁ24.71 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Sunday:
11. ÂŁ29.40 per hour (PAYE)
12. ÂŁ32.95 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
✅ Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
âś… Weekly pay (holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced selected)
đźšš The Role
13. Driving a Class 2 vehicle completing multi-drop deliveries across Edinburgh and surrounding areas
14. Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading, unloading, and heavy items
15. Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
16. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate paperwork
17. Delivering excellent customer service at each stop
✅ What You’ll Need
18. Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
19. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
20. No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
21. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
22. At least 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
