Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and Experienced Bench Joiner to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality wood and composite products, including custom cabinetry, fixtures, and structural components. Your expertise will contribute to a wide range of projects, from residential remodels to commercial installations, ensuring precision, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your craftsmanship skills in a fast-paced environment that values quality and safety.The role is ideally based for some one whom has a loot of experience and requires organising and running the workshop .primarily 2/3 days a week but this can be negotiated
Responsibilities
* Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately cut, assemble, and install woodwork and fixtures
* Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
* Measure and mark materials precisely for cutting, fitting, and assembly
* Construct custom cabinetry, door hanging, siding, framing, and other wood-based structures
* Install fixtures such as countertops, moldings, trim carpentry elements, and hardware
* Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products while adhering to safety protocols
* Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure standards are met
* Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople on-site for seamless project execution
* Assist with restoration projects including water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, and rebar installation
* Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly
Skills
* Extensive experience with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation
* Proficiency in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall installation
* Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders)
* Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry work, roofing techniques, flooring installation, tile laying, and electrical experience is a plus
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail
* Familiarity with fabrication processes including CNC machining and metalworking techniques
* Strong understanding of plumbing systems and electrical wiring as they relate to carpentry projects
* Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety standards and protocols
* Ability to read technical drawings such as schematics for fixtures or electrical layouts
* Knowledge of the restoration industry including mold remediation and water damage restoration practices
