Job Description:
About the Role
Are you looking for a role that gives you an immense sense of reward? Do you have experience in an event management and customer focused role?
If so, we are seeking to appoint a highly organised and flexible Fundraising, Communications and Events Officer for our charity – Strode Park Foundation, to help raise income and brand awareness for the Foundation’s work and support for our charitable efforts.
Strode Park Foundation, established 1946, is an independent voluntary organisation working to provide high quality services to meet the changing and individual needs of young people and adults with disabilities.
As our Fundraising, Communications and Events Officer you will work in our small but supportive team to:
· Help organise and manage event planning and execution
· Create event brochures, posters and event layout plans
· Update the website and publish new content
· Oversee and manage the sourcing, recruitment and induction of volunteers
· Help to maximise charity shop income
· Manage the rota to ensure the charity shop is always staffed
This full-time, permanent role is for 35 hours per week, however, working hours will be very much dependent on the needs of the role. Whilst an office presence will be required, it is a realistic expectation that there will also be some evening and weekend working when necessary (particularly in the summer months). We are offering the salary of £25,038.48 per annum.
As a Strode Park Foundation colleague you'll receive comprehensive support from day one and receive training and development opportunities to develop your skills.
Our ideal Fundraising, Communications and Events Officer will:
· Have experience working with and recruiting volunteers
· Possess a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle
· Hold GCSE Maths and English Language at grades 9-4 (A-C) (or Functional Skills Level 2, or A-levels)
· Be proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel and Word
· Have good time management and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks
If you can demonstrate that you meet the criteria for the role and are ready to bring your expertise and enthusiasm to a role where you will truly help make a difference, we want to hear from you!
