We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Work Experience Coach to support learners in developing the confidence, skills and experience needed to succeed in the workplace.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave on a full time (37 hours per week) basis across our Group. You will work at both Stamford & Peterborough.
This is a highly interactive role where you will work directly with students to help them source and complete meaningful work placements, while ensuring progress, skills development and compliance requirements are accurately tracked.
Key responsibilities
• Coach students to identify and secure suitable work experience placements
• Deliver 1:1 and group support on CV writing, professional communication and job search skills
• Support students in recognising and articulating the skills gained during placements
• Lead initial, mid-point and end-point placement progress reviews
• Monitor and verify placement hours and ensure accurate record keeping
• Maintain student placement data using Grofar and ensure records remain audit-ready
• Collect employer feedback and use it to support student development
• Act as the main contact for students while on placement, supporting welfare and safeguarding
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth placement processes and compliance
What we are looking for
• Experience working in a student-facing, coaching or mentoring role
• Ability to motivate and support young people aged 16–19
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Experience maintaining accurate records and using digital systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple sites
