We are looking for a responsible, experienced Team Leader who has at least 2 years experience of working in hospitality to help us to deliver events at Victoria, The Mowbray and The Chimney House.
This is a flexible, fun and rewarding role - perfect for someone who wants to get involved in the world of events. We are open to finding the right person, and having someone join us on a part, or full-time basis.
You'll be working as part of our Events Delivery team to assist us to deliver all types of private events from conferencing, private dining, weddings and getting involved in our sell out House Events which are open to the public.
You must have at least 2 years proven experience working in a restaurant, bar or events spaces to at least supervisory level or assistant manager and be comfortable leading a team.
You will have hands on experience of working front of house and be comfortable and confident communicating to the Kitchen Team, Bar Team and the Front of House Team as well as having excellent customer facing communication skills.
Bar and cocktail experience is essential.
You must be well presented, positive and enthusiastic, punctual, responsible and an excellent communicator
You must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. You will often be responsible for leading the team through parts of an event.
You must have a passion for events, an exacting eye for detail, high service standards and a desire to be part of something great with a friendly, creative and innovative team
Ideally you will know your way around a bar and have great knowledge of food and drinks and practical skill making cocktails.
You must be available on some weekday evenings and weekends, however our events often run 5-7 days a week, with a mix of day and evening hours.
This is a shift based role and your time will be planned well in advance based on the number of events we have.
Your responsibilities, and requirements for this role, include, but aren't limited to:
* Shift management and keyholding for our 3 beautiful venues
* Leading shift briefings, delivering a successful pre, during and post food, drink and general event service to our guests
* Adhering to workplace H&S, EHO compliance and Fire Safety. Previous knowledge and experience in this area is advantageous
* Experience creating and managing rotas/schedules is desired
* Working collaboratively between the bar, kitchen and events team to achieve flawless execution
* Event planning and coordination to achieve our guests' vision
* Floor management for our peak food services, and ensuring smooth running on the night
* Being the direct point of contact for our guests pre, during and after their event
* Leading our front-of-house team
* Forming an integral role in our Junior Management team, where we meet regularly to collaborate and strategise
* Supporting our senior managment and deputising for Events Management where needed.

Pay: £13.75 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 42 per week
