An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join our Barnsley Services on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours per week).
We are looking for an experienced manager who can lead a team of support workers to manage services in Barnsley. You will bring a wealth of knowledge about working with people with complex needs and experience working with families and various agencies to make plans and lead a new team to enable the individuals you support to live happy and fulfilled lives in their communities.
Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, you will be accountable for people management and staff development. This is a key role in ensuring the quality of service delivery. You should be self-motivated, passionate about positive change, and confident in making difficult decisions under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential to build effective relationships with staff and those we support. You should act as a role model, representing the service positively and demonstrating good practice to team members.
To be considered, you must have experience and knowledge in the social care sector, working with individuals with autism, mental health issues, and challenging behaviors. Experience leading teams in Learning Disability services and knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support are advantageous. You must also be IT competent.
Your working week is flexible, covering 7 days, including weekends, with travel to different locations. Flexibility is key, and you may need to cover shifts in emergencies, including frontline support work with individuals.
