Park Farm Day Nursery is a warm, welcoming, and nurturing early years setting where every child is valued and supported to thrive. Located in a beautiful rural setting, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality care and education for children from 6 weeks to 5 years. Our team is passionate about creating a stimulating, safe, and engaging environment where children can grow, learn, and flourish.
As a Nursery Assistant at Park Farm Day Nursery, you will play a vital role in supporting our team to deliver outstanding care and learning opportunities for all children. You'll assist with daily routines, help implement fun and educational activities, and contribute to a warm and inclusive atmosphere where children feel happy and secure.
Hours: 7:45-6 (full time = 4 days a week, with consistent rest day)
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the delivery of creative, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
* Support children's individual needs, encouraging their emotional, physical, and social development.
* Help with daily routines including mealtimes, toileting, sleep, and outdoor play.
* Build strong, caring relationships with children, families, and staff.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating nursery environment, indoors and outdoors.
* Observe and support children's progress, sharing insights with colleagues and parents where appropriate.
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times, prioritising children's safety and welfare.
* Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team, contributing to planning and continuous improvement.
* Attend training and development sessions to support your growth and understanding of early years care.
What We're Looking For:
* A genuine passion for working with young children.
* A positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
* Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
* A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above) is desirable but not essential – training can be provided including a Level 3 Apprentice.
* A willingness to learn and grow in a supportive nursery environment.
* A current enhanced DBS check on the update system or willingness to undergo one (cost covered by yourself).
