We're hiring experienced 7.5T Drivers to join our team in Preston for immediate starts in Lancaster.
* Operate a 7.5-ton vehicle to deliver goods to multiple customers on a scheduled route.
* Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
* Plan routes to optimise delivery times while complying with legal driving hours and traffic regulations.
* Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including delivery notes, logs, and any necessary documentation.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or issues.
* Report any incidents, vehicle defects, or delays promptly.
* Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
Requirements:
* Valid driving license for 7.5-ton vehicles (Class C1 or equivalent).
* Proven experience in multi-drop driving or delivery driving.
* Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
* Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
