Key Tasks
Includes:
* To be fully conversant with the facilities, services, and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever possible to maximize hotel sales.
* To ensure awareness of hotel availability and take every opportunity to maximize room sales.
* To anticipate guest needs, act upon, and follow up on guest requests, delivering a level of service and responsiveness that generates compliments.
* Ensure all charges are correctly posted to the guest's bills following standard procedures.
* Deal with cash, cheque, and credit transactions in accordance with hotel and company policies, and report discrepancies immediately.
* Ensure all messages for guests are passed on accurately and promptly.
* Maintain effective communication procedures daily to uphold service standards.
* Develop positive communication between the Guest Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Reservation teams.
* Have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest, and events, and know where to obtain further information.
* Develop interactive customer relations and be aware of potential future requirements, relaying information to management for customer expectation enhancement.
* Handle personal data and credit card information following GDPR and PCI rules.
