Job DescriptionBased within the offices of the Integrated Hospital Discharge team, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.\n \nIf you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact Karen Gall on 01382 632650 or email karen.gall@nhs.scotRequirementsYou will have a Social Work Degree, CQSW, Dip SW, CSS (with appropriate option).ResponsibilitiesYou will provide a high quality social work service to hospital in-patients to support and facilitate hospital discharge, in accordance with local and national policy and guidance.\n \nYou will ensure all statutory requirements are met in respect of The Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968, The Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, The National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 and The Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002.The IndividualYou will have proven post-qualifying experience in a social work role, experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting and have commitment to social work values/anti-discriminatory practice.\n \nYou will have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise and to work autonomously and have assessment skills. You will have ability to be good team player, have flexible approach and strong sense of social work identity.\n \nYou will have the ability to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified time.\n \nThis post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
