Job Description
Role:
Manufacture, repair, or modify complex Radar, Avionics, and Underwater electronic assemblies.
Skills:
Exceed industry standards such as IPC and ANSI J. Requires flexibility to move between product range/contract. Able to work with no supervision and limited engineering support.
Responsibilities:
1. Assemble/process electronic assemblies in accordance with defined work instructions or detailed technical drawings.
2. Repair/modify current and legacy electronic assemblies.
3. Work with limited data utilizing experience.
4. Use business systems to record product history and compliance.
5. Support and assist in the training of personnel.
6. Work unsupervised.
Knowledge:
May have previous experience as a 'Production Operative'. Have a good understanding of an assembly discipline such as wiring, fitting, PCB assembly, or similar. Have medium range of product experience and medium expertise in discipline. Understand and comply with all relevant Business Management System (BMS) procedures.
Skills:
Able to perform assembly/disassembly or modification tasks on electronic or mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems—encompassing new build and repairs products.
Qualifications:
Be formally qualified in appropriate Workmanship Standards e.g., ANSI J, IPC, or similar (experience is essential).
Security: BPSS only. This role requires obtaining a basic disclosure along with employment reference checks before starting.
