Groundworker - M3 Junction 9 Highways Project (Winchester, SO21 1HA)
As a Groundworker on the M3 Junction 9 project, you will be involved in a range of site-based duties to support civil engineering works. This role offers stable employment, regular hours, and strong career prospects within a respected infrastructure project.
Pay and Hours
* Rate: £16.15 per hour PAYE Direct
* With Rolled-in Holiday: £18.09 per hour
* Shifts: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts
* Duration: Ongoing long-term work
* Start Date: Immediate start available
* Location: Winchester, SO21 1HA
Day-to-Day Duties of a Groundworker on Highways Projects
As a Groundworker on the M3 project, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and maintaining site areas, including excavation and backfilling
* Concreting, kerbing, and laying drainage systems
* Installing manholes, ducts, and service chambers
* Assisting with road construction, pavements, and general reinstatement work
* Operating small plant and tools safely and effectively
* Working closely with engineers, machine drivers, and other trades to support site progress
* Following strict health and safety procedures at all times
This role is ideal for a CSCS Groundworker who takes pride in delivering quality work on highways and civil engineering projects.
Requirements
* Valid Blue CSCS Card (essential)
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Previous experience on highways, roads, or large civil engineering projects
